Charleston is a happening place. It's a coastal city with beautiful beaches, meandering rivers, and marshes teeming with wildlife. Charleston is a historic city, tracing its heritage to 1690. It's a great city to walk with eye-pleasing architecture on almost every block. Interstates 26 and 526 make traveling to area attractions and other destinations easy.

There's so much to see and do here. We have museums, an aquarium, a convention center and performing arts center that bring big name entertainers to town. We have hundreds of restaurants. Charleston is a shopper's paradise with everything from national chains to unique boutiques, antique and art galleries that offer priceless treasures. Plantations and lush gardens are located along the Ashley and Cooper rivers.Golfers are certain to find a course to your liking. We're home to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island where the Ryder Cup and Senior PGA have been played and there are top notch courses scattered throughout the area. Hunting and fishing are popular pastimes and our beaches ? Folly, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and Kiawah ? are a must see for visitors. We have minor league teams in baseball, soccer and hockey,  the oldest operating theater in the country, the Dock Street, and a symphony and several little theaters.Enjoy your stay.
