History Comes to Life

Located in the Visitor Center, the Village Crafter's Shop features crafts made by our blacksmith, broomsquire, candle maker, printer, weaver and woodworker. You will also find books and maps related to Roscoe Village and the Ohio & Erie Canal as well Cat's Meow versions of our Living History Buildings. "Children of all ages" can try their hand at candle dipping, tin punching, rope making and more.

Our artisans display the workmanship of daily life in the 1800s as they practice the trades of blacksmithing, broom making, weaving, printing, bucket making and more. All of this combines to make the tales of history entertaining for all ages.
